Requiem Update 18: Melee Improvements, Bug Fixes, and Flashlight Tweaks
In this update, I’ve tackled some key issues to further polish Requiem and refine the player experience:
- New melee animation: Ensures the pipe effectively destroys small crates, making interactions smoother.
- Improved melee hit detection: Combat should now feel more reliable and responsive.
- Soft lock fix: Resolved an issue where interacting with the key card reader could prevent movement unless the game was paused.
- UI bug fix: Inventory items being moved no longer linger on screen when exiting the menu while using a gamepad.
- Flashlight pickup: Added a lens flare to improve visibility and keep it consistent with its in-game appearance.
- Melee attack balancing: Reduced melee speed to 75%, increasing tension during enemy encounters and balancing combat difficulty.
As always, thank you for playing and providing feedback. Stay tuned for more updates, and let me know your thoughts!
