Devlog: Enhanced Gameplay and Aesthetics Update
Hey guys! Another exciting update for Requiem (1998) is here, bringing some impactful gameplay changes, improved visuals, and a more immersive experience. Let’s dive into what’s new!
Bug Fixes and AI Improvements
- Resolved an AI consistency issue to ensure enemies behave more predictably in encounters.
- Fixed an edge case with pushable objects that wouldn’t work correctly after the player died and respawned.
Gameplay Enhancements
- Player Hit Reactions:
- Added hit reaction animations and blood effects to enhance combat feedback.
- Introduced the potential for stun lock when struck by enemies, increasing tension and making even basic encounters deadlier.
- Game Over Screen:
- Players will now experience a proper game over screen complete with a chilling sound effect for added atmosphere.
Visual Upgrades
