Requiem Update 13: Post-Jam Bug Fix Log 3
New Build - Bug Fixes & Improvements:
This update focuses on enhancing gameplay flow, balancing, and overall player experience:
- Fixed melee issues when using the pipe; disabled kicking while holding weapons: Ensures consistent melee functionality and prevents unintended combat mechanics when switching between weapons and melee.
- Made the pipe capable of breaking boxes: Provides a more intuitive use for the pipe and increases player options for interaction and puzzle-solving.
- Added an explosive barrel to encourage gun discovery before entering the alleyway: Guides players to find and use firearms earlier, ensuring they are equipped for upcoming encounters.
- Stopped kicking from interfering with melee weapons: Prevents animation overlap and unintended behavior when transitioning between kicks and weapon use, creating a smoother combat experience.
- Improved camera system performance; added toggling between aiming and appropriate cameras: Optimizes camera transitions and responsiveness, allowing players to better navigate and aim with fewer interruptions.
- Balanced weapon damage: Adjusted to ensure more strategic use of weapons, creating a fairer challenge and improved encounter pacing.
- Improved enemy perception for better difficulty balancing: Refined enemy AI to enhance the challenge without overwhelming players, making combat more dynamic and rewarding.
These changes aim to make controls more intuitive, combat smoother, and gameplay more balanced for a better overall experience.
